After Amazon Kids is disabled, the Echo will revert to the last adult who used the device. Tap Amazon Kids, then disable the feature. If you want to switch back to an adult account, open Devices > Echo & Alexa on the Alexa app and select the Echo. When you enable Amazon Kids for a specific Echo device, you are automatically switched to the child's account. Instead, you will need to make the switch in the Alexa app. But you can't ask Alexa to switch between a child account and an adult account. If you wish to switch from one adult account to another, just say "Alexa, switch to account," and that person's account is now in charge. Click the gear icon to access settings and modify certain options for the child, such as content, daily time limits, and age filters. You’re now able to manage the child's profile settings at the Amazon Parent Dashboard, where you can view all the interactions the child has with your Echo. After you set up access for the child, your Echo automatically switches to their account. Click Continue, then tap the right arrow to read about different features. Sign into and authenticate your Amazon account, then click the Verify button to confirm that you’re an adult. Give Amazon permission to collect certain information from your profiles. Turn on the switch to enable Amazon Kids, and a screen pops up to explain the feature. Tap Amazon Kids under the General section. If you want to add a child to your Amazon Household, click the Add a child button on the Amazon Household page. Refresh the Amazon Household page to see the teenager listed. They're also asked to enter a one-time password, which is texted to their phone or sent to their email address. They enter their name, phone number or email address, and a password and then click Continue. They click the Create your profile button in the invitation email to set up a profile. The final setup requires you to enter your teen’s phone number or email address, which emails them a link. You can set it up so that you review all orders, automatically approve orders up to a certain amount, or automatically approve all orders. Choose your preferred option and click Continue. With this option, teens can shop online on their own, but you approve their purchases. Click the Get Started button, then add the teen’s name and birthdate and hit Continue. The next screen explains what a teen can do with the account. From the Amazon Household page, click Add a Teen. You can’t give a teenager access to your Echo under their own profile, but you can add them to your household to grant them certain Amazon shopping and video streaming abilities. Your Amazon Household screen then shows the other adult as part of your household. They must also agree to share their digital wallet and then check or uncheck the items they want to share from their library. The person will receive an email, where they can click the Get Started button and head to the Amazon website to accept the invitation. Click Continue and confirm the person’s name and email address, then click the Send Invite button to send them an invitation to create and join your Amazon Household. Then check or uncheck the items you want to share with the other adult, including apps and games, audiobooks, and ebooks.
